Principal and Founder

Kristin has more than 20 years experience in corporate communication, the majority in institutional and retail financial services. She has guided major firms in government and regulatory affairs; crisis and defensive communication; media relations; internal communication; and B2B and B2C marketing communications.

Kristin holds a Master of Arts in Organisational Communication, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Her book, Confessions of the Winemaker, was published in 2004.

Kristin splits her time between Sydney and Singapore.

Daniel Inman

China Director

Daniel Inman is an experienced financial writer who has worked in Hong Kong, China and Japan for more than a decade. He most recently covered markets across Asia and China’s financial system for The Wall Street Journal. Before that he was a deal reporter at FinanceAsia, a leading sell-side trade publication, where he also wrote about the Chinese economy.

Daniel has a strong understanding of finance and economics across Asia – in addition to an awareness of how the region fits into the global financial system. He has a special focus on China.

He has also provided marketing consultancy services to several of the world’s largest financial institutions – creating high-quality content for a number of global banks as well as several asset management companies.

Daniel is from the United Kingdom and has a B.A. and MPhil in Philosophy from University College London.

Heather Gascoinge

Heather has fourteen years’ experience devising and executing communications strategies for clients across the IT and financial services sectors. A Silicon Valley native, she’s managed media campaigns for a number of leading technology companies, including Philips, Sony Electronics, Sun Microsystems and Juniper Networks.

Most recently, Heather managed internal communications for the IT & Operations function of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, expanding her knowledge and passion in IT to financial services technology.

Heather has worked in the US, UK and Australia, supporting both regional and global PR programs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and is currently based in Sydney.

Richard Chatterton

Kay has over 20 years experience working with leading companies in marketing and sales. She has worked with a veritable who’s who of IT companies in Australia and the US including Honeywell, Wang, Groupe Bull, Progress Software, Seagate Software, Business Objects and Powersoft, where she was worldwide product marketing manager. Kathryn has held executive and professional positions at Australian and Asia Pacific levels responsible for managing, developing and the delivery of marketing communications services. Kay holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Diploma of Fine Arts and is also a photographer, producing professional portraits and marketing imagery for clients.

Beth Harris

Account Director

Beth is a financial and corporate communications specialist with over 10 years’ experience in the development and implementation of comprehensive, global investor relations and communications programmes.

Beth has worked with a number of high profile clients in SE Asia, including: Bloomberg, BSI, CQS, Gemfields, KrisEnergy, Olam International and Petra Diamonds. Working closely with management teams, she has successfully implemented media engagement, research analyst and investor relations programmes, and has acted on numerous projects involving reputation management, crisis and issues management, internal communications and business development. Beth has experience of a range of transactions including IPOs, secondary fundraisings and M&A.

Prior to relocating to Singapore two years ago, Beth spent five years at one of the largest financial PR advisory firms in London, where she was central to the Natural Resources and Financials sector teams. Beth is also a Director of the Singapore Mining Club.

Katie is studying Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) at the University of Sydney. Katie works part-time for Continuum in a variety of support roles including media list creation, pitching and followup, reporting and client liaison.

Yasuo Kamai

Japan Communication Strategist

Yasuo has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and financial communications. He began his career with Nissan Motor Company as a PR and IR specialist, where he learned the traditional Japanese style of doing business. “Don’t be deceived by the business suits,” Yasuo says. “They are still wearing Samurai Kimono at heart.”

Yasuo has held director-level positions at Prudential Investment and Moody’s Corporation, as well as four global PR consulting agencies with clients including Wilber Ross, Standard & Poor’s, Parex Bank, Visa International, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Societe Generale, Aetna International, GE Capital, LTCB Warburg Securities, Allstate Automobile Insurance, NASDAQ Japan, ICAP and World Gold Council.

Yasuo holds LL.B in US Commercial Codes from Keio University and a professional interpreter’s certificate from Simul Academy Tokyo. He is a member of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan.
